Building the Legacy Project

Your Legacy, Guiding the Next Generation

Your story is the foundation of your family’s legacy. It’s more than memories – it’s the wisdom, values, and experiences that define who you are and inspire future generations. We believe your journey deserves to be remembered, celebrated, and preserved with dignity on an online archive

Wealth fades, but the stories we leave behind echo through generations.

We are looking to work with affluent individuals and families who have a heart for the people and want to share their insights and knowledge of wealth building and lineage creation to shape Hawaii’s future.

At Building the Legacy Project, our mission is to preserve this knowledge for generations to come through our online archive of knowledge currently being built – brick by brick.

Our goal is to establish a knowledge database of interviews, stories, and lessons of trials and triumphs of local individuals and their families. These stories can be the beacon of light for aspiring entrepreneurs who are on their journey of building wealth and their legacy.

Through exclusive, complimentary family portrait sessions, recorded legacy interviews, and more – we can capture the essence of your story, ensuring it’s remembered with purpose and dignity. This is more than a photo session – it’s a chance to document your journey, your lessons, and your impact.

Your story is powerful. It carries the wisdom of experience, the values that guide your family, and the legacy that will inspire those who come after you. By sharing your journey, you contribute to a virtual library of wisdom, empowering future generations with the knowledge they need to thrive.

Let’s build something timeless, together.

True legacy isn’t measured by what we leave behind, but by how beautifully we are remembered.

Message from the founder

Christian Batoon

The day my daughter was born changed everything. I realized that one day, I won’t be here to share my story. That made me question what I would leave behind—not just in wealth, but in values, memories, and lessons learned.

I come from a Filipino immigrant family that moved to Hawaii with big dreams and a strong work ethic. They worked long hours to give my brother and me a better life. But their sacrifices came at a cost – time together as a family was rare, and my childhood memories feel distant.

The truth hit even harder when I realized how little I know about my grandparents and my family’s roots in the Philippines. Their stories, experiences, and wisdom are fading away because they were never preserved.

Ironically, as a photographer, I’ve captured memories for countless families, but my own doesn’t have a single professional portrait together. That realization sparked my purpose. I’m on a mission to preserve my own legacy and help other families do the same. I don’t want my daughter to grow up with unanswered questions about who we were and what we stood for.

But my vision goes beyond just preserving memories. I want to create a world where wealth and wisdom are preserved and shared to inspire future generations. I’ve been on my entrepreneurial journey for seven years, and there are days when I feel lost, questioning if I have what it takes. I know I’m not alone in this. There are countless entrepreneurs on the brink of giving up, feeling isolated and uninspired.

This mission is twofold: to help families preserve their legacies and to gently pass the baton of knowledge, creating a more abundant world. I want to inspire the next wave of entrepreneurs to keep going, to see the beauty in their journey, and to build a future filled with hope and purpose.

If this resonates with you, let’s work together to preserve your legacy – for you, your children, and generations to come. And maybe, just maybe, we’ll inspire a better tomorrow.
